This book contains Shri Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari's talks and conversations with youngsters from various parts of India and abroad. Adressing the youth all over the world, the author, with his total comprehension of the dynamism of youth, and their needs and aspirations, inspires them to work towards creating change and a new future.
The author, (born in India in 1927) was raised in the rich cultural heritage of the East and educated extensively in the Western tradition. He emphasises that regulation of the mind is essential to discover the true nature of one's inner self. He explains that this is possible only by devoting equal attention to the material and spiritual needs of life, and that by bringing about such a change in their own lives, the youth can create transformation in all of humanity, since today's youth are the torch-bearers of the future.
Sahaj Marg is a Raja Yoga system of spiritual training based on heart-centred meditation, simplified for modern life. The practice is founded on the principle that God is all-pervasive, and therfore pervades the heart of each and every person. The goal of the practice is explicitly spiritual: attaining the ultimate goal of human existence, which is oneness with God, or Self.
Training in Sahaj Marg is free of charge and is open to all over eighteen years of age. The only qualification is a genuine and abiding interest in spiritual growth and the willingness to participate.
